DAI VERNON: A BIOGRAPHY BOOK

Dai Vernon: A Biography Book
US $39.95
DVD

Dai Vernon: A Biography BookThis book is the best and most accurate biography Dai Vernon who many consider to be the most influential magician of the 20th century. The book covers the first half of his life: from 1894 through 1945 where it traces him through Ottawa, Coney Island, Chicago, Manhattan, Kansas City and Colorado Springs - and the celebrities - Houdini, Billy Rose, and Roosevelt, that Vernon encountered along the way. The book also details the evolution of magic in the 20th century. From the stages of London and Paris to the back rooms of magic emporiums where secrets were bought and sold, Vernon's life and work escort the reader through vaudeville, Broadway theaters, grand magic spectaculars, New York nightspots and the dawn of television.

Written by David Ben, Hardbound, 370 pages with more than 40 photographs and a full-color dust jacket.
