Five cards have holes punched through them. Four are black with blue backs. One is red with a red back. When squared all the holes align. Pull the red card away. Using a small lock the spectator locks all the blue cards together through the holes. Explain that the red card's edge is razor-sharp and demonstrate this by pushing it right through the lock. With all the cards now locked together, the only way to remove them is to open the lock or tear them up. The razor-sharp red card is examinable and can be signed.
