Although this is officially called “Pen Through Coin” it is actually a Sharpie Through Quarter.

The pen or cigarette through quarter is a classic of magic. There have been many versions in print and many other versions marketed.

This is an easy low-tech method that is very easy to do. You begin with a US Quarter, push a Sharpie Marker through it, show both sides of the coin, remove the Sharpie and the coin is restored.
