This starts out as a gag item with a giant pill, but then the magic starts when it seems to have a life of its own. You can make the pill move, rise, and lower on command. As a finale you explain that it is penicillin… when you take it apart to show it is actually a PEN-icillin.

You can present this as straight magic or combine it with the thousands of drug and pill jokes found in books and on the web.

Self contained. No threads, magnets or external gimmicks used. It almost works itself. You can even hand it out for examination at the end if you want to use minor sleight of hand.
